About this tool

Word to PDF

Render DOCX or DOC files to PDF with the server Office engine so page layout, images, and tables stay intact.

Word to PDF uses LibreOffice headless rendering rather than recreating Word layout in PHP. That is the reliable way to keep page breaks, headers, tables, and images close to what Word prints.

DOCX is fully supported. Legacy DOC is converted when the engine can open it. Macro-enabled DOCM files are rejected. Fonts that exist on the server embed more faithfully than missing fonts, which substitute.

Use Word to PDF when you need a shareable, non-editable snapshot of a document. The generated PDF is checked for a valid file header.

Temporary private storage and signed downloads apply.

Why use it

Benefits

Office engine

Keeps document parts

Text, images, tables, and page breaks render as the engine prints them.

No macros

Macro-enabled Word files are not accepted.

Validated output

The tool checks that a real PDF was produced.
